Jennifer West - Managing Director

Jennifer is passionate about natural farming systems and putting carbon back into our soils. She has solid knowledge of the emerging carbon market and the opportunities it presents for farmers. Jennifer's particular area of focus is soil carbon project methodologies and farm management practices which can help restore Australia’s much-depleted soil carbon levels.

Experienced in broadacre farming, natural resource management administration, business management and journalism/communications, Jennifer has developed a large and diverse network of contacts during her career.  Her most recent focus on soil health and carbon farming has inspired the launch of Carbon West - a company focused on working with farmers to improve financial and agronomic outcomes, and bring about positive social and environmental change. She is passionate about the need for farmers to be well informed and thus empowered to participate in the carbon market on their own terms.  Jennifer hopes to encourage the adoption of agricultural practices which foster the sequestration of carbon in soil, to both improve food quality, farm sustainability and ecosystem health, while also enabling a potential new source of farm income.

With a ‘big picture’ view of agribusiness and the fast-growing carbon market, Jennifer is well-placed to educate, advise and manage carbon market opportunities for Australian agribusinesses.

Kerryn Maddams - Business Systems Manager

With more than two decades of experience in broadacre agricultural systems, Kerryn has worked with her husband in managing livestock and pasture development, mixed cropping programs and prime lamb feedlotting. Since leaving farming, Kerryn has developed her business management skills, swapping Agrimaster for MYOB and counting sheep for accounts management.

With a undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business from Muresk Institute of Agriculture, Kerryn has an in-depth understanding of conventional farming, and a growing awareness of new developments and activity in the regenerative farming space. Her years as a farmer means she can communicate effectively with farmers and fully understands the challenges the industry presents.
